Q: Can Hantel help with a small project, or are they only interested in full scale programs?
A: Hantel can help with whatever services your project needs. Our objective is to help move your project along faster.
Q: Is it possible to rent equipment from Hantel?
A: Hantel has a free laboratory, equipped with common prototyping tools. Visitors are welcome to come and use the free lab space and tools at no cost. Although not common, we are open to equipment rental as well.
Q: Does Hantel do sterilization?
A: No. We do not do sterilization on site. We work with devices requiring all kinds of sterilization and have strong relationships with the sterilization industry.
Q: Does Hantel do rapid fabrication?
A: Yes. Hantel is able to provide instant response to your fabrication needs on a time and materials basis. Parts are delivered either C.O.D. or after credit card payment.
Q: How fast can Hantel turn a Change Order?
A: We routinely review and sign-off Change Orders in a day or less. Depending on the depth and breadth of a Change Order, additional time may be necessary.
Q: Does Hantel do Biocompatibility Testing?
A: No, however, we are able to identify what tests will be required for your device.
Q: How many people work at Hantel?
A: At last count, Hantel had more than 80 full time employees.
Q: Is Hantel ISO 13485 Compliant?
A: Yes. Hantel is compliant with ISO 13485:2003.
Q: What sets Hantel apart from its competitors?
A: We stand out beyond the competition because of our breadth of capabilities, our depth in medical device knowledge, and how easy we are to work with.
Q: What happens to the Intellectual Property developed at Hantel?
A: Hantel does not retain rights to inventions related to client work. Hantel engineers routinely contribute valuable IP for our clients and are listed as inventors but retain no rights to the inventions.
Q: Does Hantel warrant the work it performs?
A: Hantel is unique in the industry offering satisfaction guaranteed or your money back and a lifetime warranty on materials and workmanship.
Q: Does Hantel accept Credit Cards?
A: Visa and Mastercard are accepted.
Q: Does Hantel do work for equity?
A: No. It is a policy of Hantel to not receive client equity for either compensation or motivation.
Q: Does Hantel do fixed cost manufacturing?
A: Yes. After building three lots of a particular specification product and performing a time study, we are able to provide a fixed pricing for manufacturing.
Q: Can Hantel build devices using my documentation?
A: Yes. Hantel can build using your documentation and store the completed build documentation for build traceability.
Q: Can I use Hantel’s controlled environment to build my product?
A: Yes. Hantel rents out both the controlled environment and open manufacturing space for an hourly rate.
Q: How long does sterilization validation typically take?
A: You are required to use three separate lots of material for validation. Once you have the three lots, the entire process takes about 6 weeks.
Q: How long does biocompatibility testing take?
A: The entire battery of tests takes 10-12 weeks for a long term implant and roughly 6 weeks for short-term devices, such as catheters.
